During their time as a Perk customer, the company has grown. As of March 2024, the GetYourGuide platform has sold 150 million tickets from 25,000 supply partners who leverage GetYourGuide’s easy-to-use platform to grow their businesses. As they’ve grown, the global team is committed to doing business travel the modern way – intuitively and efficiently.

Longtime partnership

GetYourGuide is one of Perk’s most tenured clients and has been with Perk since its inception in 2015.

GetYourGuide can use Perk’s single platform, with global infrastructure and reporting in one place for all 17 offices, dynamic policies on a local basis across the world, and integrations with other business systems.

The result? GetYourGuide team members can spend minimal time planning and organizing business trips, and can focus on impactful projects instead.

Self-booking for more freedom

GetYourGuide enabled the self-booking feature in 2019 to optimize their processes. To support them in this change, Travelperk’s team ensured the appropriate guidelines and controls that mirrored company travel policies were implemented within the platform, to ensure control while delivering choice.

The self-booking process was first tested with the sales team followed by a company-wide rollout. Today, all employees of GetYourGuide can easily book their trips in accordance with the guidelines. With Perk’s easy-to-use desktop and mobile app, the teams can book their business travel more efficiently.

On the backend, GetYourGuide can easily update and adapt company-wide policies to apply to all travelers.

Tailored guidelines for different countries and groups of travelers

By setting automated travel guidelines, GetYourGuide is able to implement scalable and appropriate policies.

Teams can manage costs smartly by using the dynamic budget function while tailoring to the various local needs of the company. This way, GetYourGuide ensures that all travelers can book their trips accordingly and independently.

More flexibility, less worries

With the increasing number of employees, not only did the need for independent booking grow – more trips also meant more unplanned schedule changes. So GetYourGuide was looking for a more flexible way to book and change travel.

Working closely with Perk, GetYourGuide helped develop the unique FlexiTravel feature, a solution to this very problem. With FlexiTravel, employees can now change their travel dates if necessary or can cancel their trips up to two hours before travel without stating the reason and receive back 80% of the original booking fee.

Transparency and overview through accessible data

Clear reporting functions allow GetYourGuide to keep an eye on all bookings and developments – despite the high degree of autonomy of the employees in the booking process: "Perk is easy to use as an admin, but also gives the team a true picture of costs and plans, so we are able to plan much more efficiently.“

With Perk‘s various software integrations from HR and finance, managers know exactly what the employees are booking and get an easy overview of all relevant data related to business travel—be it organizational, financial, or personnel-related data.
